 Except for Express ceremonies all ceremonies require a one hour pre wedding meeting or minimum of adequate communication via phone, E-mail, or mail.  This time is for Rev. Dr. Wade to acquire adequate information from the bride and groom to create a ceremony with vows that truly represent your desire for the ceremony.

 For Clients who wish pre marital counseling sessions, Dr. Wade holds doctorates in Psychology and Hypnotherapy and can provide this service as well.  This truly allows him the opportunity to more fully come to know you and make your ceremony even more personal and unique.

 A part of the charter of Freedom Counseling Center is to help couples prepare for marriage, assist couples by creating a marriage ceremony which reflects a true partnership agreement (Vows), and establish an on going relationship with married couples and families. This relationship enables us to assist them in times of difficulty such as a death in the family, grief counseling, parenting issues, blended family issues, addiction issues, marital adjustment, marital communication problems, conflict resolution and other issues of the millennium.  Just as many have a family doctor or dentist, Reverend Dr. Wade would like to become your family’s pastor and counselor.  Because many are not a part of a local church for many reasons, they do not have access to the services of a pastor.  The Reverend Dr. Wade offers his services to those who object to organized religion, or feel uncomfortable in churches, as well as those who are apart of a local church. 

   

For those who need an officiant and do not believe in God, that is ok too.  Ceremonies do not need to contain religious or spiritual content and prayers.  While titles and formalities have a place, most call Reverend Dr. Michael D. Wade simply Michael. 

 Many have never been to a counselor and may even have had a bad experience with a counselor.  But counseling at its best is a wonderful experience of feeling someone truly cares and understands.  Some are uncomfortable with the idea of telling someone they don’t know their problems, or do not want some stranger telling them how to live their lives.  But good counseling is like having a best friend you can tell anything to and know they will not use it against you, ever.  A good friend does not tell you what to do, but helps you process your thoughts and feelings, mirrors your thoughts back as a sounding board with out judgment.  Michael believes each person can, with this kind of high quality impartial feedback, make the best decisions for their life.  We can get too close to our problems, and can not see the obvious, as can our friends and family at times.  The services of the officiant, pastor, and counselor can now be yours without buying the church. 

 Oh yes one more thing… Michael is also a Licensed Massage Therapist as is his wife, Christine.  They can offer massage services to the bride and groom, wedding party or seated chair massage at the rehearsal, or reception.  Massage services are offered at $1.00 per minute.  

By now you may be wondering if there is anything he does not do?  He does not preach at people, try to evangelize them, or covertly win them over to a church or religion.  He does not psychoanalyze them, or judge them for decisions and choices in their life.
